If you are dumb enough to let these words pass your lips, be prepared for a knock-down, dragged-out fight. Essentially, by asking her this poorly phrased question, you compared her to a slut of some kind. Besides, what are you going to do with the knowledge anyways? Dump her if the number is too high? Propose if it’s just right? It’s better to leave the past in the past.

9. “I don’t like your friends.”

Sure, her friends may be obnoxious and constantly trying to pry into your affairs. Your girlfriend may even complain about them from time to time. But, remember, she can talk bad about them all she wants, you can’t. Is that fair? Not hardly, but it’s the way of the world. Criticizing someone’s friends is just like criticizing them, so don’t do it.
