7. Learning how to live with roomies

Most people are living with strangers for the first time in their lives when they start attending college and living in the dorms or in an off-campus apartment. Having a roommate is not the same thing as living with a sibling. Sometimes you have great roomies that are very considerate, clean up after themselves, or even study with you.

Other times it could be the roommate from Hell that comes in and out at all hours, is messy and farts all the time, or even fools around with his girlfriend even if you are there! Whatever the case, someone you have to learn to live with them and try to get along. If things get too bad, it might be possible to get into a different living arrangement, but likely you and they are stuck together so it’s best to learn how to survive it.
