- Stature and Movement
Aside from the physical appearance of the humans and other primates, which would be fully discussed later, two of the most evident differences of humans from their relative primates are the way they stand or the posture itself as well as the way they move. Humans are equipped with the necessary features in order for them to properly walk in an upright position while swinging their hands back and forth. These features are mainly composed of their long legs, the perfect curve, and stature of their spine, which makes them stand in an upright position and be able to see everything from the ground. Moreover, their pelvises are wide enough in order to carry on long walks.
On the other hand, other primates like gorillas, chimpanzees, monkeys, and other apes are basically quadrupeds. Essentially, they are more adept at walking with their four legs. Instead of using their eyes in order to detect everything from the surface to the upper ground, they use their nose to observe every facet of the element. Moreover, unlike humans, they are more adept at swinging along the branches of trees and they are more inclined in climbing trees for safety and protection against wild animals and predators. Although, gorillas have the capability to walk on two legs, their pelvic areas are not designed to balance their body, hence, they are able to walk on two legs for just a short span of time.
