- The Hands, Fingers, and Arms
Well, humans have these beautiful hands with straight and long fingers, which are designed to hold, touch, and manipulate objects and various things. Moreover, they have these opposable thumbs, which have been their main advantage in doing great inventions and various breakthroughs such as the gift of writing, construction of various things, and building different structures. Humans are capable of doing very large range motions because of their shoulder girdles.
Unlike humans, other primates use their arms to bear their weight. Since they are quadrupeds and they take most of their time walking on the ground or climbing trees, their arms are designed to carry their additional weight. Furthermore, as you may notice, human’s relative primates have long and humongous hands, which have curved fingers that are designed for their knuckle walking. Lastly, their thumb is quite a little short and is little capable of opposing.
