As environmental concerns are mounting and more and more people take an interest in fixing our environmental issues before they begin to cause real issues, there is a greater demand for environmental engineering. All it takes is an environmental engineering associate degree to get your foot in the door. If you would rather pursue a career that is more heavily based in research, then an advanced degree is needed.
