2. Attend all of your classes

This definitely seems obvious but many students don’t attend classes regularly for one reason or another. When you attend classes you absorb the material which can be beneficial even if the professor follows the textbook to the letter. You are unable to take notes if you aren’t in the lecture. Although you could borrow someone notes, finding someone that takes good notes or notes in the same manner that you do is going to be very hard. Being involved in the classroom discussion also helps with your understanding of the material. Some professors even count classroom participation as part of your grade.

All of your professors have different personalities, expectations, and policies for their classroom. When you attend class you learn what your professor wants from you as a student. You’ll understand how they feel about your attendance and participation in class. When you attend class you get the lecture, your able to take notes, you participate in discussion, and you understand your professor expectations of an assignment.
