- Sequels of previous films
We know that Disney only makes sequels of their hits. The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, and Toy Story are just three examples. And oh, who could forget the live action movie Maleficent as a prequel/spinoff of Sleeping Beauty? Word has it that Finding Nemo 2 is underway and so is a live action version of Cinderella.
Many filmmakers have dabbled into adaptations of Peter Pan but a sequel would be awesome. Something like J.M. Barrie’s When Wendy Grew Up: An Afterthought would be nice to see at the movies and a great follow-up to the classic too.
It makes us think that a sequel of lesser hits could be good to see too. For instance, the story of Hercules and Megara could be exciting, considering that the real story was that Hercules settled down but eventually killed off his entire family. Or how about Treasure Planet and Meet the Robinsons?
There is always hope for a sequel. Just take a look at Finding Nemo 2 that will come out over a decade after the first one!
