5 Animation Movies We’d Love Disney to Produce

  1. Remakes of previous movies

These days, reboots are fairly common. And it wouldn’t be such a bad idea if the people at Disney actually go digging in the movie graveyard to bring old films back to life. They could spin plots, make them animated, or even collaborate with Pixar – just basically work their magic to breathe new life to some forgotten films. The up side? Those who saw the vintage versions would be curious to see what present day silver screen magic can do for the old films.
Topping our wish list for remakes include Popeye from the 1980s, The Rocketeer from 1991 and Squanto, A Warrior’s Tale from 1994. Popeye was a film that starred Robin Williams and what would be great is how Disney could adapt the storyline to fit the current times where women are not expected to be thin and swoony like Olive. Believe it or not, Squanto, A Warrior’s Tale is still being watched by students at some schools up to now so it would be quite great to see it with better effects, graphics, etc. The Rocketeer is a sort of superhero movie that could possibly fit well with the current craze for mutants, superpowers, high speed chases and fight scenes.
Limiting it to just 5 categories is a little bit difficult, especially since Disney has had decades’ worth of film greatness to sift through and they have also ventured into superhero franchises. Come to think of it, it is kind of silly to have to wish for more from the film industry giant, but hey, we can always hope.

How about you, what movies do you wish Disney would make?
